This is the first time I've heard of Canada Day. To all you Canadians on board - enjoy your special day.

Canada Day is great in Ottawa ! We were on Parlement Hill for the opening show complete with jets flying over the Peace Tower and Royal Canadian Mouties doing a special carousel with their horses. Tonight over 300,000 people, mostly dresses in red and white are expected for the fireworks. That is one day we always make sure to be in town for.
Bonne FĂȘte Canada. Happy Canada Day.

Oh yes, sorry about forgetting kenandpaul,, ! Luc that sounds fun, much better then the drive up island to MIL 's house for dinner.. There may be fireworks there, but they are not the kind that light up in the sky, LOL
Oh Shoesy, I guess every country has their " hurrah for us" day don't they? What do they have in Israel?? I have noted though that Canada Day is now a much bigger deal then it used to be when I was young, I credit this to the profusion of dollar stores we now have, which of course are stocked to the room tops with Canadian flags, cups, knapkins, tattoes, lanterns, hats , necklaces, and all things red and white( our flag colours) !It is quite in style now to have Canada Day parties.
