Happy - It's a little pricey, isn't it? For that money you could buy something really nice in Paris. ;D

Julia was a character and loved the attentionand was very nice if she was asked to suggest a recipe for what ever I was buying. She'd ride around town in her little car with wooden spoon attached to her anrennae. She said so she could find her car in a lot.

She was one of the first TV chefs and is the premier example to all that followed. She changed the way America ate and cooked. I think I've watched every show she ever made. Pick up one or two of her biographies or her autobiography, they are most enjoyable reading. You might try searching for some episodes on youtube. Here's one www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpIndUafTJU

As I told happy, the person who buys her house probably won't ever actually USE that kitchen!

Hasn't her original kitchen been transferred to the Smithsonian?

Yes, but still...I've been in houses where people have these BEAUTIFUL kitchens with tons of counter space and professional stoves and they say "Oh, I don't cook!". It just would feel blasphemous to have someone live in Julia's house and not love to cook, you know?!

I totally agree with you, Sis! I've known people with beautifully remodelled kitchens and they stayed new forever. What a shame! It makes me feel sad to waste such places .
