I read the instructions on how to insert an avatar and tried it several times last week with no success. Tried again today and still no success.
I know how to copy the image and insert into URL box. However, what size do I put into the height and width boxes? Last week I just copied the sizes that showed up on the image and nothing would show up on the forum.
Any assistance to this non-techie would be deeply appreciated!!

Hi there, To insert an avatar................ You can use any photo you like as an avatar picture (remember that the larger the picture you use, the less detail will show in the avatar) Upload the photo onto photobucket first www.photobucket.comWhen it's uploaded you will need to click in the box called Direct link underneath the image, this will automatically copy the code you need. Come to OurParis, click on your username and then modify profile, scroll down to the avatar section. Right click in the URL box then click Paste This will put in the URL code. For the dimensions........in each box you can type any number you want up to 100. If the picture is meant to be taller than it is wider you would probably type 100 x 80........If you type 100 x 100 it might possibly distort the picture a little. Once you have done these things, scroll to the bottom of the same page and remember to click the modify profile button to store any changes that you have made. Hope this makes sense, feel free to PM me if you are still having problems. Andi x

YAY!!!!! It FINALLY worked! Thanks Andy, Denise, & Penny. Seems to have been the "direct link" copying -- I was copying something else. Thanks for clarifying that.
Isn't my avatar cute??? However, Penny, let me know where the one you posted in the PM might be found. As I said, that is SO ME.
I knew I could count on you guys to get this project finished! Thanks again.

Some people are in the lucky position to receive high-end stuff from high-end companies for review. I'm not one of them. But a family member felt it was time for 3D and bought the new Samsung C8700. And I managed to get a good look at it.
