Actually, French - and I guess all other European kids - are taught England's English at school, which is quite logical when you think of it . BBC's accent is something like the St Graal .

What a precious bundle of joy! I wish I could give him a kiss on those little pink cheeks of his. His brother is quite a doll too. Denise, you must feel very blessed. Oops! This was posted on the wrong thread. It was supposed to be on Denise's "Anniversary Boy" thread where she posted the photos of her darling grandchildren.

Happy Anniversary my dear friends!!! I am so glad SE sent me the link to this site all those months ago. The people here are a fountain of information and some of the nicest people I know...
Plus you're the only ones that seem to understand the Paris addiction!
Hopefully I will be able to pop in later, but today is Spring Cleaning!

Forget about babies and anniversaries !! I simply have to digress a bit - to show you how we celebrate the OPF day in Denmark !! We are awaiting the BRIDE any minute now !! OMG !!!! just saw a glimpse of her in the dress !!!! Totally 1800-century style, with white Calais laces !!! ------------------------------------ While the royal familys confessionarius (vicar) is holding his wedding speech, you will be the first to see the bride, une vraie Parisienne, in a Swiss designed dress. The tiara is a gift from H.M. Queen Margrethe II, given to the future princess last night. A precious, costly item from the Queens private jewellery collection: (Marie is holding on to her white veil, because it was almost blown away by the summer wind) And the groom Joachim cried like a Wallace fountain and hugged his two small sons, when the bride came into the church...... So now they are duly married - - and we are having Schuberts "Ave Maria" sung by a Danish opera singer. Not a dry eye to be found in the worlds oldest kingdom.

Gitte - Of course the groom Joachim cried . He knows that you told everyone on OPF that he's a dork, and you insulted him on his wedding day! Penny - Thanks for the additional colorful images. You are getting your second exalt from me today. I'm sorry to hear about that family emergency, and I hope everything turns out O.K.

It sounds as big a deal in Denmark as the Charles and Diana thing in 1981. The whole country celebrates, then? (Or is this just a good reason for a glass of Champagne on a Saturday afternoon for you, Gitte?? )

:)Gitte, those wedding videos will keep me going for a long time. Lovely dress, I'm not sure about the attendants though, they look like fugitives from Little house on the prairie! ;D I'm getting very excited about THE hour. I don't know what I will do, have a toast in Tea I soppose and I think I will go to the supermarket for macaroons. Denise
