My casual hunt for an apartment rental for September became a full-blown feverish search last night. After thoroughly scouting the selection on vacationinparis and parisaddress and others, I came across Isabelle's apartments (thank you Gitte!). She has three units in a building on Rue de Temple (http://www.apartment-in-france.com/paris-marais-studio.htm) close to the Pompidou. Is this an okay area to be in at night?

Wow that is a very very small place for that big price and an extra 40 Euros for the internet! You can do much better I am sure! Location is very central but Pompidou at night is not the most desirable environment.

Thanks, Luc. That's exactly what I was wondering about. Especially since DH is leaving a few days before me. Lucky you...leaving on a plane tomorrow!

ouiparis...we rented an apartment for her last year. You can do much better. It was at 9, rue Princesse St. Could stand a good cleaning. Very few ammenities and the internet is free in most rentals, but not hers. When we arrived, her greeter tells us she lost her key and if we find it , please put it out for her. Then upon leaving, I left our key hanging on the apt wall. When we return there is an email from Isabelle claiming her gal siad we hadn't left our key and she needed to charge us like 400 euros for a replacement! Thank goodness I told our driver that I had left it and emailed Isabelle to tell her this. She responded that her gal would have no reason to lie to her! Well, why whould we? I do not recommend her apts nor would I EVER rent from her again. As I said in the beginning there are much better values in Paris than hers. Also there is no free local phone calls like in many apts.
