It's supposed to be an all-night tour of the underground, stopping at stations that closed during WWII and others that were built but never opened for some reason. Tickets are apparently very difficult to get. The website for information is ademas.assoc.free.fr. Just wanted to know if anyone has ever done it or knows of someone who's done it and whether it is worth it.

According to their website, the association is no longer offering the all-night special rides. They have been replaced by half-day walking tours held on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Hélas, all the announced dates have already been booked.

I may be wrong, but I believe that the extended weekend Métro hours made the ADEMAS night-time tours impractical.

I hadn't thought about that, but I bet you're right. The walking tours still cover some of the abandoned stations. I don't know how it's all organized. I suppose you ride between some of the stations and then walk along passageways to the abandoned ones? The brochure is quite clear that it's a walking tour.

Truffaut, thanks for taking the time to check out the website and reporting back. I suppose I wouldn't mind walking underground, so long as the lighting in the tunnels is sufficient. I'd be a bit freaked out walking in the dark. Blame it on Cloverfield.
