It's cheaper and faster to use easyjet to get from Nice to Paris, but after reading some posts regarding easyjet's reliability, I'm rethinking whether we should just use the TGV. The goal would be to get to Paris on Thursday night or early Friday morning. Any thoughts?

Oui, we flew EasyJet from Paris to Barcelona and back a few years ago and didn't experience any problems. While we've heard they are notorious for delays, cancellations, etc., I'm pretty confident that a major percentage of their passengers reach their destinations as planned.

I would just take the train - aside from reliability issues, there is also the time that's chewed up getting into and out of airports, rather than going from city center to city center (much as the considerations for train vs. plane between Paris and London). Plus, of course, the ticket price is only part of the cost as you would need to get to/from airports on both ends. Check out this link for train schedules (but if you decide to take the train, don't buy on this site, it's almost always much less expensive to use the SNCF web site): bonjourlafrance.net/france-trains/tgv-mediterranean/schedules/paris-ile-de-france-cote-d-aziur.htm. It appears that it's not an overly long trip by train (five-plus hours).
