I enjoyed your reports, Betsy. Sounds like you saw some gorgeous countryside in Scotland and enjoyed some new sights in London. Gee, I wonder if you and J are seafood lovers?! Wish the weather had been a little warmer and dryer for you, but it sounds like it didn't hold you back too much. Have a good trip, and again, sorry about your Mom.

Haven't read Scotland yet, but I did enjoy your London report. You went to one of our "always" places! We never miss a trip to Borough Market on any Friday when we're in London. And Wright Bros. is always on our restaurant list. The shells on the prawns don't bother me one little bit !!
Must put the Police Museum on a to do list for our next trip.

I've just read your Scotland reports and loved them! We have done much the same trip and also had a fabulous lunch at Pierhouse. It was the best!
Thanks for posting!

Betsy, many thanks for your links, I have read them all........... Gaz and I went up to the west coast of Scotland to get married, on the banks of Loch Long, a small village called Arrochar. Approx 1 mile from Loch Lomond in the area of Argyle and Bute. A beautiful, beautiful place to be, summer or wintertime. I was ashamed at the prices you paid in London, why does it seem so much more costly than anywhere else? Daylight robbery to enter some of our museums and centres, luckily we live miles away from the capital and prices are a little better. Yes! petrol prices are way out of control over here too! I was taken by your thoughts on the "greasy spoon" cafe too. Most cafe's over here are like that, rough around the edges but the people who own them work so hard. From your reports it sounded like you had a fantastic time, even with the typical English weather. Thank you for the reports. ;D
