Has anyone seen the Marie Antoinette exhibit at the Grand Palais? I plan on going, but would appreciate an advance report! Thanks.

Speaking of M.A., I finally saw the movie (with Kirsten Dunst) on T.V. last night. I LOVED the fashion (boy, am I living in the wrong century!) and adored all the doggies, of course , but that anachronistic music really bugged me .

Shoesy ,, I loved the movie, and I even liked the music, as I decided it highlighted Maries eventual young rebellious " well if they think I am so bad well to heck with them" attitude.. she tried so hard, but she would always be the outsider at French court.
Didn't you just love the shoes, the clothes, the whole thing. I haven't seen in a long time, so I may rent it soon.
Do you recall if it was too racy for an almost 12 yr old,, I can't remember?

I totally agree, but after all Ms. Coppola's boyfriend needed work. And talking anachronisms, how about the quick shot of the converse sneakers among all the period shoes. What was that all about? And Paul, I wrote about my visit here just a few days ago.

I have seen this expo, and I would give it rave reviews (in fact, I did on my blog). It is good enough that I plan to go back at least once or twice.
It was set up by a well-known director of opera, and the effect is very theatrical.
I'm sure you will enjoy it.
