Musée Rodin has a temporary exhibition of most of Camille Claudel's sculptures, from 15 April till 20 July . Camille Claudel was Rodin's pupil and lover, and famous writer Paul Claudel's sister . Some of you may have seen the film about her life with Isabelle Adjani . I am veeery far from being an art expert, but I like her sculptures very much, they are less academic than Rodin's . Everydays except Mondays, from 9.30am till 5.45pm Go to the website Click on "Expositions" Then on "en savoir plus" Then scroll down until you find "download the press release in English" You can also buy your ticket from the main page (red-pink dot on the left) www.musee-rodin.fr/accueil.htm

I agree with you, Anne! Claudel's sculptures (for my taste) are more enjoyable than Rodin's. I like Rodin's, too but stiff prefer Camille's work.

I think the most interesting thing I learned about Claudel and Rodin is that, even prior to meeting, their sculptures resembled one another. I understand there are a few works in this expo that were originally attributed to Rodin, now known to be by Claudel.
I live not too far from there, and even at 9:15 in the morning, the lines extend to bd des Invalides. Waiting is probably not going to help, so I guess I will just have to gear up and bring a book and wait in line some day. I can't wait to see it.

But you don't have to wait in line ! You can buy your ticket online through the link that I posted : you pick your day and hour and then your print your ticket at home and just get its code-barres scanned upon entering the museum .

Vous avez raison, Anne. I was much more organized when I was just visiting. Living here, I try to be spontaneous, which complicates things. I am going to buy my ticket. Merci.

Jan, I'm really enjoying your blog. I found the Tony Curtis articles really fascinating. I knew he was talented but it is nice to see that he is still going strong into his 80's

Thanks, grndma. Does that countdown by any chance mean time until you come to Paris?
I'm glad you're enjoying it, demarais. Feel free to leave a comment sometime, or I never know if people are enjoying it. Of course, sometimes I find out here.
I'm glad I talked to him, because it was rather shocking to see him at first, but after talking to him, he seems to be pretty happy.
