I think that someone should comment here that Sarko's ex just remarried to a business man from Morocco. there was a brief write up and small picture in one of last Sunday's papers. Writer called it a "spite" marriage. Have no idea but actually like Carla better. But as for Carla, I think she looks like she is trying. Also you can just see the stomach under the coat. Many women at five months don't show much more than that. The ballooning tends to start a bit later, at least for the first. Yes, Cecilia just married Richard Attias (sp ?), the guy for whom she already left Sarko a few years ago, so everyone says of course that her coming back to Sarko was only an act until he would win the presidential election . So now she lives in NYC with her new husband . And as far as Carla is concerned, I just refuse to believe that she is anywhere close to five months pregnant, especially since she already has a child, this would not be her first pregnancy .

Ah, yes, I see Carla has a six (?) year old son and so this is not her first pregnancy (that may alter my assessment). I recall with my first pregnancy , people were concerned I was not showing for a LONG time (and then suddenly...hello! Balloon time!). Now with my second pregnancy..let us just say I did not get those same concerns! ha!

Well, Anne....we'll all know for sure as soon as the baby is born. That is, if she is pregnant at all, which I have much doubt about ...

Carla was on one of those evening news magazines here in the US. She was wearing a lovely magenta very fitted evening gown for a dinner at Buckingham Palace. She did not look the least bit pregnant, let alone 5 months along. I'm with you, Anne.

Yes, I have now seen some other photos of Carla during the two day visit in the UK, and I do not see the little bulge I thought I was detecting on her when she wore her gray coat! So there you have it!

Well, she may or may not be at 5 months , but GD! she is the best looking "First Lady" I've ever seem!!
Why did the gown in the second picture look black, when I saw it in another picture it was a rather insipid blue?

She looks really awesome in this red dress, but the blue one "fait mémé" (i.e. it would look good on a grandmother) . And yes, she should be able to wear JCFM shoes with evening dresses ... Tall Cecilia also used to wear flat heals all the time, while Sarko does wear quite high heals and soles .

Meow, Meow. Careful ladies the claws are showing! Yes, the red gown is more flattering to her and much smarter. But as to flat heels, that is her choice and if she is really in love with Sarko then this is a "gift" from her to him. As to the Navy gown, you are correct it is suitable for grandmothers. I have one very like it in both cocktail length and long. It actually looks better on Carla. As to dressy flats, that is what I wear at my age. Fortunately there are Ferragamo shoes, Icons and Munros.

Speaking of claws ;D The one thing that I admire about cette chère Carla is her ability to pose for the spot, a real professional n'est-ce-pas. And I am sure she did not put in the garbage all of her others more stylish shoes, yet. So now she had slept in Windsor, something all her others conquests could not do for her... wonder what is next on her list. I still miss Bernadette, ses pièces jaunes et ses tailleurs ringards. !

As to the shoes....I had a huge crush on a shortish guy in college and when I was buying shoes for sophomore year I bought all flats....but I was 19!!!! And it never happened anyway... And probably just as well! "if I only knew then what I know now..." Maybe she's only doing it for "official functions!"

Makes me think of Nicole Kidman's reply to David Letterman , shortly after her split from Tom Cruise. When asked how things were going for her, she replied, " Well, now I can wear high heels".

How about this one ;D ? The tall blond at the left is one of Sarko's elder sons, a rather arrogant young brat who has recently launched into politics too ...
