she's a beautiful, talented not nice person. She bedded Mick Jagger and Ugh! Donold trump but worse, She was the girlfriend of a philosopher who was a friend pf Bernard Levy. She dropped the father for the son who was also a philosopher but he was married to Justine Levy Bernard's daughter. She dumps Levy and now....we'll see

A more demure Carla meeting the Queen of England at Windsor Castle (March 26, 2008), rather a contrast to her 15 year old photo up for auction next month at Christies in NYC. Interesting to see her new look as the current French first lady (Christian Dior coat and handbag). Note her flats (perhaps not to tower over Sarko?).  |

I must admit that from that picture Carla looks very prim and proper and as sweet as can be..... and she's still not "showing" at this point. Hmmm.....I wonder how this First Lady will look when she and her hubby visit Israel in May.

Well I am pleased that, even if she did not have too, she made a reverence to our Queen. It will be interesting to see what will come out of the meeting with the prime minister...

She looks like a kid playing dress up (fault of the hair do). WHY would a European with the greatest designers at her beck and call copy the style of an American icon? Painful to watch.
But in all the photos, he has eyes only for her, which is sweet.
Charles and Camilla met them at the plane. Camilla looked so old and dowdy... I thought is was the Queen for a minute.

Sarko has obviously "heard" all the critisims about his flashy life at last, and so he and Carla have kept a remarkably low profile for the last few weeks (not enough to help him save the last elections, though ...) . Her transformation here into a modest, classical, model first lady is just part of this, since they both knew how much she would be watched on this first official visit . Only my feeling is that she "overdoes" it quite much, this is so clearly not her own self  ... As far as "showing" is concerned, there is no way that this woman can be almost 5 months pregnant, unless she wears an iron corset under her grey coat  ! |

I really dislike that picture. I've never found a pigeon-toed pose to be cute or attactive.  As for the rest of Carla, I couldn't give a d......n about the body parts that she's trying to cover up. |

 I think that someone should comment here that Sarko's ex just remarried to a business man from Morocco. there was a brief write up and small picture in one of last Sunday's papers. Writer called it a "spite" marriage. Have no idea but actually like Carla better. But as for Carla, I think she looks like she is trying. Also you can just see the stomach under the coat. Many women at five months don't show much more than that. The ballooning tends to start a bit later, at least for the first.

Not that it is any of my business...BUT ( :  ... I had noticed a bit of a tummy on Carla and was wondering if anyone else might notice (apparently not you, eh, Shoesy! ). I concur with Holger, .... certainly with a first child it can take a while to "show" and I tend to think there is a bit of a "show" at this point (of course, it could be that Carla has had more generous meals of late too...and therefore not quite as flat tummy as before!). Who knows!  |

Do we know when she's due? My daughter's tummy looked about the size of Carla's until just the past 2-3 weeks, but now she's really ballooned (she's 5 months along).

O.K., Cybee. In that photo I see a bit of a baby bump, but that's not what I looked like when I was in that stage of pregnancy. In fact, if I were wearing that tight coat now, my tummy would be showing a lot more than hers. |
