As far as I know, this movie, starring Liam Neeson, hasn't been released in the U.S. yet. However, it did make its debut here in Israel this past weekend. (I guess we're considered to be good guinea pigs when it comes to movies ) For those of you who like good action-thrillers, you'd probably like this film, which just happens to take place in Paris . However, it does not show the beautiful side of Paris, and it's definitely not the kind of film you'd enjoy if your teenage daughter is about to take a trip there on her own or with friends . Incidentally, Liam Neeson does a remarkable job portraying a real tough guy.

This is the movie's official website: www.taken-lefilm.com/Here are some details: www.variety.com/review/VE1117936489.html?categoryid=31&cs=1www.imdb.com/title/tt0936501/Here's a teaser/trailer: uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3_0R4l0ISNsIt appears to be a French movie, by Luc Besson. Looks very promising - a real popcorn flick, indeed !! Realease dates: France 27 February 2008 Israel 6 March 2008 Netherlands 3 April 2008 South Korea 10 April 2008 Belgium 16 April 2008 Finland 23 May 2008 USA 19 September 2008 This a review from imdb that give a few more details: >>> Just saw it in Paris. The action is pretty awesome. Liam Neeson kicks ass for practically the entire film. He kills just about every Albanian prostitute trafficker in the entire city of Paris (apparently there are quite a few of them). You'll be on the edge of your seat for most of the movie. Besson is a master at creating a bad ass and he has definitely succeeded here. The beginning of the movie is a little bit slow and awkward and the ending is anticlimactic (nobody cares about the pop singer), but the action is absolutely amazing. Neeson gives a really good performance. It's an excellent popcorn flick. It's not brilliant like the Professional but it is entertaining.<<<Shoesy, perhaps you could give us some clues about the Paris stuff ??

No beautiful Paris scenery, though I remember one scene where I got a glimpse of the restaurant "Fouquet's". The movie deals with prostitute trafficking, which is not a pretty subject... no matter where it takes place.
