Hi all.
I was wondering if any of you know of forums similar to this one for other countries &/or cities.
I've done several google searches and there's not alot out there like this forum.
I still use TA for London and NYC, but it would be great to know of other forums where people are as friendly and knowledgeable as this one.
Thanks, Mez.

Hi Mez couldn't find one for nyc, so still using TA as well. not fantastic, people arent friendly! Someone told me to try the Fodor's foum for nyc, but its hopeless. this feels more lke a community. its great. Truffaut was wondering about creating a NYC one.....

Hi Kurgy. Can't sleep? I can't...and I have to get up for work tomorrow - argh!!
I've checked Fodors, Virtual Tourist and Frommers but I don't like any of them. Other Google searches bring up some, but they are rarely used and the info is alot less interesting that can even be found on TA.
Yes, you've hit the nail on the head - community is the word I was looking for.

Phread once mentioned something about a London version of this site, maybe she could tell us what it is.

Funny, I never thought of getting involved in a NYC blog! I checked out TA the first time I flew out of Newark in a long time for the bus info and wasn't too impressed with the "experts" And NYC is huge of course and different in many ways from Paris. Generations don't mix in the same way...the "scene" shifts constantly, things open and close so quickly,...and since being un and under employed I don't get out as much anymore!

Thanks Cigalechanta. I'll take a closer look...although I don't think I'll ever find one as good as this one. Mez
