The Armani collection is a bit schizo - first half is pretty and fairly wearable (well, at least for those of us who are 22, tall and very, very thin - not!! ), but second half just weird for no particular reason. I do enjoy seeing creations like this, even if I have to think of them as art pieces rather than clothing - thanks for posting these!

Galliano himself and his outfit looks about as weird as the model's hairstyles. They all look like they have a bad case of bedhead

The Armani collection started off great. I loved some of them! But then it started to get weird. And that first collection...yikes!

I don't think that anyone actually ever WEARS those outrageous designs...I think it's just a big ego thing for the designers. From my limited knowledge, it's just a way to start people talking about trends. But I don't know demarais, I think you'd turn a lot of heads down there in FL if you showed up wearing #9!! ;D

It looks like it's made from tinned cans, they'd probably just send me and my dress to the recycling center.

I am SOOOOoooooooo close to gettng a Press pass for one of these shows. It is tantalizingly near. As for the fashions... ridiculous clap trap, if you ask me. But of course, they don't.

Don't worry, Phread, they WILL be asking you one day (or at least going through your vintage finds for inspiration!). I can't tell you how many designers I've seen in the New York vintage shops over the years. They are always looking for things to "interpret". Good luck on getting into the show. They really are an experience not to be missed.
