I think our winter is finally here. (It had begun a couple of weeks ago but then warmed up again.) It rained a lot last night, and the temps. have dropped. Today the rain and thunderstorms are going to continue. Tel-Aviv is supposed to be 18 - 12 degrees C. , and in Jerusalem it'll be 12 - 7 degrees C. I'm somewhere in between, I'd say.

3-7 C, rain, rain, rain. No snow yet. The kids would love to have snow for Christmas (and longer, of course) - but I hate it, because I have to drive in it quite far every day. It is dark most of the time (or so it feels)...... Willow, I exalt you for your new pic of your best friend !

GitteK, Tarzan is like your kids...he wants eternal snow, whereas I would like nothing less!!!
He enjoyed his first snow of the season the other day in that picture while I froze my derrière walking him. Oh well..it's the price I pay for being owned by a snow beast.

Weather is the usual here - about ten degrees cooler than Betsy and Annette most of the time, and a little more rain (much rain due in this weekend, but who cares, if I manage to pack I'll be going on vacation - actuallyl, I will whether I pack or not but it would be one heck of a lot more convenient if I do than if I don't!)

Just wanted to share our sunset on the first day after spring equinox (21nd March). From now on the days are longer than the nights. The light which we Northerns cherish so much will increase from day to day, the sun will rise ever earlier and set ever later, until it reaches its peak on 21st June, when the sun rises at 04:25 and sets at 21:59. To me this is truly the first day of summer - notwithstanding the snow and icy winds.

What a magnificent sunset, Gitte!!! The weather here has gone a bit berserk. We're experiencing a temporary heatwave , and the temperatures are expected to rise to 40 degrees C. today . The funny thing is that I'm actually enjoying the heat , but my husband gives me a dirty look whenever I mention it.

I cannot believe it ! We haven't had any snow that even remotely held to the ground throughout this Winter, and now that it is Spring I saw several centimeters of snow and the snow still falling thickly when opening my shutters this morning .Today is still a holiday in France, so my kids are going to love this !

Wow, Anne - it's not unusual here to have rain on Easter, but snow is an entirely different matter! Here, it's an early spring - the weather over the last several days has been warm and sunny, and all the flowers and trees are responding well.

Well Becky, it was all melted by the end of the morning . And yes, we already have flowers and buds too, that's also what made this so unexpected .

Our weather "down here" has been unusual this spring as well. We woke up to snow a week ago, but the past few days have seen 80+ weather (27 C)

We just had snow this past Friday and Saturday...again! I think my friend who drives a snowplow was ecstatic since this year we had almost triple the amount of normal snowfall. We've also had many many cold snaps resulting in some pre-t-ty darn awful potholes, and one flat tire for me!!
