I hope that strike is over by the time you arrive. Really, the main thing will be getting into Paris. Take care and have a great time.

Bon voyage mon bel ami. I am not to concern with the strikes since I know that you are extremely resourceful and given the worst lemons you will serve us the best lemonade (in a nice crystal glass, with a little umbrella and a bended straw)
As we said in French "Faute de grives on mange des merles". We will be thinking of you and G. and all the visiting in-laws. A bientôt.
