Today it´s mother´s day here. I know it is celebrated in May in the rest of the world, but I´m not sure if there´s another country that celebrates it today too. So as for me mother´s day is today, I want to wish a happy mother´s day to all of the mothers in this forum!!

Thank you - and a Happy Mother's Day to you too, sandy !
In DK (and the rest of Europe, I suppose ?) it is always the second Sunday in May, not that we celebrate it in my family much. Isn't it a bit on the commercial side - initiated by florists ?

Yes it is, and not only is a great day for florists here today, but for restaurants too. All restaurants in the city are fully booked today, because it is supposed that mothers shouldn´t work on their day.

Thank you all. I had a nice day with my family. Shoesy, this is especially for you, and for everyone. Doesn´t this look tres Parisienne? Look what a chocolatier offered for mother´s day: www.vasalissa.com/It´s only in Spanish for now, but click ENTRAR, and then under News, "Dia de la Madre".

Sandy, I missed the chance to wish you a Happy Mother's Day. When I read the thread headline, I thought there was a mistake . How interesting that Mother's Day is celebrated in October in Argentina! I hope it was happy.

Sandy, That quite caught me by surprise. For some reason, I see you as this woman in her very early 20s and just can't imagine you as a mother! Oh well, happy Mother's Day!

Truffaut - It sounds like you need to re-read the "Who's Who" thread. ;D
