If anyone has an interest in couture, go the the Victoria & Albert Museum site and look at the highlights of the current exhibit. Shoesy, you will love the shoes it shows. I bet they would also have some miniture shoes for sale at the gift shop now. Don't you collect them?

I'd like to see this but our time in London is so short this trip I doubt if I can squeeze it in. I know my husband would meet me in a pub !!

Even the usual exhibit on the history of clothing/fashion is very intriguing (e.g., formal dresses from the 18th century that make it clear why the doorways were so wide and the chairs did not have arms - although one suspects the women did not sit down at all, much of the time). This was the first time I "got" why the couture of the 20s and 30s was such a big deal - when I see the photos and drawings, they don't do much for me but seeing the actual dresses was quite different.

I absolutely love those formal dresses. I am clearly living in the wrong century.
