For those of you who have an interest in Italy, I will be blogging my trip there this year for my restaurant patrons, and I would like to invite all of you to follow along. I leave next Tuesday (the 18th), and will spend 10 days there before I head to Paris to stay another 10 days. We'll be dining at some pretty amazing places (Les Etoiles in Rome, the Terrace Restaurant at Hotel Splendido in Portofino and the Cipriani in Venice), and we have a couple of great winery tours, including the amazing Angelo Gaja on the 27th. I'll also be doing a SCAVI tour and some other pretty fun things. So, if you want to follow along, I've set up my blog at www.sofotravelers.blogspot.comMy Paris experiences will, of course, be posted right here.

Thanks for the link Arrow I love Italy and will be happy to follow your trip . I had a look at your restaurant's menu, and it painfully reminded me of my last month' holidays in Italy ... Are you the cook ? PS : what is a SCAVI tour ?

Demarais, I was going to say the same thing! I love Italy, and will surely follow Arrow's adventure. I will get back to Italy eventually, but for now, my heart belongs to Paris.

Hi all....have arrived Italy safe and sound. Started blogging the trip last night for anyone that's interested. Keep in mind I'm doing it mostly for customers of my resto to follow along, so it might seem a little to folksy....but it's there if you want to read. Off to the Vatican in about an hour. SCAVI tour at 3pm. Very excited. Sitting here on my laptop in Rome listening to TV5MONDE in background....ah....it's good to be "home."
Paris in 10 days......

Fun to read the blog - and, now we understand where the "arrow" moniker comes from, as well, LOL.
