Penny, Your Eiffel Tower Las Vegas picture made me laugh. I have a night shot of the Eiffel Tower we took from just down river from the Pont Alexander bridge, on the wallpaper of the computer on my desk. The other day someone saw it, and asked "when were you in Las Vegas"? They were shocked when I said, "that's Paris".

Mez, In my part of the country, Vegas is a pretty common destination(although not for me personally). France not so much. People are also shocked when I tell them the French people were very nice to us.

Thanks, Becky. It's easy to take great pictures when everything is as beautiful as it is there!

Of all the pictures I have taken (except for kiddo) this is my favorite. I was sitting in Hyde Park (London) and I hear this clip, clop, turn around and there was the Horseguard returning to barracks. a once in a lifetime shot.

Here are some of my pictures from our holidays in Tuscany . The first three ones are from Lucca : This one is from San Giminiano (see previous pics from dep0515) : This one is from Siena, on the square where the Palio is held : These two are the views that we had from the garden of the house where we were staying :

Your pictures bring back memories of our wonderful trip to Italy (which included Tuscany) in October, 2005. I especially like looking at the views from the house you stayed in because they remind me of the breathtaking views we woke up to every morning......such a splendid way to start the day!!!

Great pictures, Anne - glad you mastered the technique of posting them!
I've been to Italy only once (France keeps getting a higher priority) but do intend to return before too long - loved Tuscany, and your pictures bring back the sights very vividly. You must have really enjoyed the trip.

Anne, I recognized the Guinigi Tower in Lucca. I've stayed in Lucca twice and especially love northern Tuscany. I wish I had such nice pictures to remember it by, but I'm a dreadful photographer so I don't even try any more. That was a fun reminder. Thank you.

Anne - thank you for posting those pictures! They brought back wonderful memories for me and I really enjoyed seeing them. Didn't you just LOVE San Gimignano? Such a quaint, friendly town. I could have spent days (or the rest of my life!) there.

Hi everyone, hope you are all well, and great to see more new members. We are just back from our summer break, the Yorkshire Dales, UK, this summer, as one of our dogs is poorly and needs weekly veterinary treatment, so for the first time in years we had to miss France Anyway, the Dales- Wensleydale in particular (Wallace and Grommit fame) is very scenic and we had a relaxing time, and is only 90km from home. Thought I would share a few pics! West Burton Falls Dusk across the Dale The Great Dog Cloud! Middleham, the nearest village to us, is a big race horse training area Horses on the gallops above Middleham The girls in Upper Wensleydale Our morning, afternoon and evening view! Bolton Castle across the Wensleydale Trying now to catch up on other threads Best wishes to all!
