Joan - If you hop over to Israel, you can buy Naots cheaper. O.K., I guess the flight would cost you a few bucks, though. ;D

Joan, there are Naots sold on eBay . Ok, the chance that you find the right style/size/width is low, but you can still have a look . As far as I am concerned, looking on eBay today was the first time that I ever saw what Naots look like . I don't think that we have them in France . But then, I don't like the style that much .

;DI just have to make sure that you all know about the best online shoe company in the world--zappos.com.
They have a huge selection, customer reviews, multiviews of each item, and, best of all--FREE SHIPPING and FREE RETURN SHIPPING!
I get almost all of my shoes from them.

I have Naots and took a pair last year. They are comfortable but don't give me the support I need for really long walking trips. This year I plan on taking two pairs of Mephisto Rush--found two on Zappos in the 8N. Not on Amazon or elsewhere. One pair, maybe two pair of Mephisto sandals and one pair of Munro Breeze for the occasional dressy occasion. The latter are also discontinued but I found a pair on Footsmart. Yes, I know--five pair of shoes but I pamper my feet or I am in trouble. Also one pair of Ugg slides for slippers and I plan on wearing them on the plane. They have hard, rubber soles so I can easily step out of them during airport security and work if my feet swell during the flight.

Goldenmama - I had a look at zappos.com and thought it was great indeed ... until I found out that they don't ship to Europe

In our area, "Zappos" are a brand of potato chips. I have this vision of you walking around Strasbourg with two giant potato chips tied to your feet ;D

You know, I got my twins back today, and they just shouted with horror when discovering my new Birkenstocks . So if you asked them, me using giant poato chips as shoes would just be one little step further down the drain

Birkenstocks? And you're not even a Lesbian!!
On a personal note, you seem like the most delightful person. I sincerely hope we get a chance to meet someday!

Truffaut, wearing Birkenstocks isn't a lesbian thing here !!! And my Birkenstocks aren't the "rough" style, they are lovely (you can see them - sorry, admire them - on General Board / I'm back, page 4) .
Thank you for your very kind comment, and yes, we should be able to arrange something one day, whether in Paris or maybe in Nancy if you once fancy to have a "Art Nouveau" day trip . That is, if you are not too embarrassed to walk the streets with a living purse wearing giant potato chips shoes ;D

Becky--I have those Naot Ashleys and they are soooo comfy! Mine are in black leather, but my mom got the copper as well as the black leather. I wore mine in Paris even in the rain. And have been wearing them pretty much nonstop since I bought them.
