what would then be on the other side of me NOW ? ;D This one is sooo nerdy and funny. Click on the map and drag the mouse around until the red pin is at the place where you live, and then on the OTHER map you can see what is directly under your feet !!! For me it is the Southern Ocean somewhere between New Zealand and Antarctis ! www.zefrank.com/sandwich/tool.html

I'll have you know that that dumb map does not even say Israel on it! I guess Israel is too small. In any case, I put the red pin on my nameless country, and I came up with the South Pacific Ocean.

sweetiepie, all you have to do to get a closer look at Israel is to click on the little + in the uppermost left corner of the map.......
And if you click on the + several times, you can almost see the camels in your neighbourhood desert ! ;D
Funny thing is that for Israel there is not shown any roads and names of towns ? Secret Service-thing ?
You need a pc-course !

Geordy, I just read Tuffaut's review also, and thought, our grilling hot dogs for the kids today, has to be about the polar opposite of that.

Yes Ray, I made my Mother's Macaroni Salad(yes old fashioned macaroni, not chi chi Pasta salad! ;D)to take to a friend's later today. She's making potato salad(red potatos but otherwise the old fashioned kind) and the rest of the meal will probably be burgers and Notdogs as well! Decided not to modify the notdogs since I originally was just going to abbreviate it "dogs" but didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea!

I'd be in the Indian Ocean too Geordy...but right off the coast of Australia (I'm waving to our Aussie friends right now). That's a cool tool, Gitte - I would imagine that it be great for teaching kids a bit about Geography. Where do you find these things??!!

Well, I'm paddling in the Atlantic Ocean - the closest 2 countries are Morocco and Portugal. I'll just keep swimming in a North East direction until I reach France. Mez

Mez - that must mean that right now you are paddling in the ocean somewhere between Sydney and Auckland ?

Since we're all in an ocean, I sure hope we're good swimmers.

Shoesy, some of us don't need to be good swimmers.
Don't you remember from your science class at school that alcohol and fat both float on water ??
Am I one LUCKY gal ?!!

Isn't it funny how difficult it is to find places on earth where there is "solid ground" on your antipode ? I mean - digging a hole to go all the way through wouldn't help, if you end up in an ocean...... And how about all that water ? Would it flow through the hole and flood your Midwest home town ? Those Sioux indians would scratch their heads.... And is this not the most ABSURD way of wasting your time EVER Apart from plucking hair out of your nostrils......

I just did some experimenting with this thing. If you're in Madrid, then the other side would actually be on land.

Now that's a relief. So at least Madrid won't be flooded.........
