Hey, Truffaut--Bet you're busy packing today--have a wonderful and safe trip. Keep us posted when you have a few moments to spare, especially about that "somone" with the great dinner reservations!

Surely there's no real need to "pack" -- isn't part of the point of a flat in Paris that you can go on vacation with just a carryon bag, and smugly (in a nice way, of course) bypass the baggage carousels?

And remember: hands visible at all time, knife in the right hand and bread on the tablecloat...
besides that you should be fine... Bisous et bon voyage.

Good point, luckyluc - but surely a firmly locked closet or two would take care of that? (Or does that just incite curiosity as to what wonderful things have been hidden away?)

Hey Truffaut - just popped in for a minute and see you are leaving for Paris tomorrow. Have a wonderful trip!
We are having a major heat wave in Boston, with rain storms predicted. So bring your umbrella as you head this way.
Bon voyage!

We leave tonight to drive to Maine with Holly. Then we'll leave Sunday for Paris, so I'll still be around hit or miss for the next couple of days. I just started packing about an hour ago, and yes, that is one of the nice things about owning an apartment. You really can leave some things locked up there. I always keep a couple pairs of jeans, jackets ranging from light nylon to a wool peacoat, extra shoes, etc.
I'll try to keep in touch while I'm there, but you all will definitely be on my back burner (don't take it personally!!)
Thanks for the good wishes and I'll see you around. ;D

As long as the back burner is on a Parisian cooktop we will not mind!

We'll try not to get into too much trouble on our own! Have a fab time (just don't get that pink marabou soiled on the Metro -- elsewhere, maybe, but not on the Metro!).

Bon voyage Truffaut !
You may definetly need your wool coat here, weather is terrible in Northern Europe these days .
And remember that Gitte has put up high standards for trip reports, so now you are expected to do at least as well as she does ...
