Sis, you will absolutely love Wicked! We saw it in San Francisco (that was the pre-Broadway tryout), and it changed a bit (saw it again when it returned a year or so later) but is still wonderful. I just wish Chenowith still played Glynda -- she just can't be topped (but I can understand why an actor gets really tired of doing the exact same thing every day for years!).

Yes...since I'm leaving my daughter over Christmas while I jet off to PARIS the least I can do is take her to see Wicked sometime before I go! (She's taking theater next year...I forsee many more Broadway trips in our future. Good thing for the $35 RT NY bus!!! )

Becky, I agree, Kristen (or is it Christine??) Chenowith can't be topped. So much talent in such a tiny package! I swear I'll never figure out how such a tiny thing can have a voice that big.

I think Kristen (couldn't recall, just knew her last name). How great that you got to see her in that role!

I've seen her on various musical programs that were filmed for PBS. So only on TV. I can't imagine how her voice would carry in person. It's amazing.

Happy, really it was her manner and stage presence that really did it -- she was a ditzy blonde, yet a self-aware one (how she projected all of that at one time, I can't imagine). She's on the CD of the Broadway version, I think, because my recollection is that she continued in the role for some time before moving on. (I also used to really like her on "West Wing" and was sorry that she apparently got too busy for them to continue that character in later seasons.)

Now I wonder what my daughter anf her fiance will select for dessert. I wouldn't be surprised if it's creme brulee. I'll find out after this weekend.

Sorry this one is late......I have never tasted the snapper but it sounds yummy with the other ingredients, coconut can be sweet and slightly sickly to some so my vote would be the snapper.

Update - Thanks to all of you, the snapper is on the menu. As for desserts, each guest will receive a plate consisting of the following: 1) chocolate mousse 2) creme brulee 3) pumpkin-cheesecake I have a feeling that none of the above are figure-friendly.

Shoesy, those desserts sound fabulous! I'm glad your guests won't have to choose and will get all three Bet you're happy these decisions are made now, aren't you?
