Geordy, there was a piece in the Globe just last Sunday with SK, and he mentioned that collaboration. Should be good, I would think. I like them both. Jody...you likely did post that previously. But I have a mind like a colander...

I'm currently reading Résistance by Agnès Humbert. She was an art historian and very involved with the resistance effort In WWII. It's a translation of her journal, including her time in various prisons. Thanks to Happygoin for the recommendation.

I just started Mission to Paris which I think may have been recommended by someone here and enjoying it so far.
I recently read and loved All the Light We Cannot See. It's a novel about a young French girl and a German soldier whose paths cross during WWII.

Not reading anything "French" at the moment but the latest Reacher book starts with an assassination attempt on French President so I just followed Jack on a tour of the streets around Invalides and St Germa

I keep hearing about these Reacher novels. Are they actually good books or do people like them purely for the setting?
Do you need to go back to the beginning or can you just start with any of them?

No, not the settings..many are rural US though the first one I read started out on NYC subway(#6) which is why it was recommended to me by someone here! Most of us like Jack Reacher! A guy friend of mine read a few and he isn't a fan..thinks Reacher is too much a superhero...can take on 5 guys at a time..but I like that in a man! The one I read first was a few books into the series...than I went back to the beginning and caught up. It helps to read in order because of things that go on with his brother, Mother, and a few other characters but not necessary. Quick reads, hold my attention and I think well written..and the jacket photo of the author is easy on the eyes!
