Ian...Karen shouldn't kill you for that...you should be exalted! Paris is wonderfully romantic and just about the best place I can imagine to be with the one you love. And what's even better, you can be in love with Paris itself if you're there alone - the city itself makes those endorphins flow. At least for those of us with the addiction...

Amy...that article is great. Of topic but, being from MA, I can't wait to see all the chestnuts Mitt starts tossing out when the presidential campaign gets in to full swing. The package looks good but it's empty.

Happygoin, yes, it should become interesting! I wish Bill Maher could run--alas, he's not electable...... As the French would say: Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.

Hopping on this one late! I get that all the time as well, and often from folks who regularly vacation at THEME PARKS!!! or the same beaches, Vegas etc. The ones that know S/O is in Europe(they assume Paris) then act like I HAVE to go there!! The fact that he is there makes it more affordable to go more often but I'd be there when I could even if he weren't there...a fact he delights in telling anyone who will listen!! And yes I've been many other places too and if staying more then a few days in Paris try to throw in a side trip or at least a day trip. And after all the trips my to do list for Paris just keeps growing(even if the "do" is only to sit on the terrasse of a new (for me) cafe!!!
