Hi everyone! I'm heading to Paris for the first time in November. I've decided to rent an apartment in the Marais area but have no idea about specific locations. I've narrowed down my search to the following addresses
6 rue saint gillies
30 rue saint Antoine
50 rue de sevigne
21 Rue Beranger
Which do you think is the best location? (in terms of closeness to cafes, shops etc and good public transport)
I would appreciate any comments!!

I can't think where rue Beranger is, but all the others are in very convenient locations with plenty to do in the immediate neighborhood. Rue St Gilles is a bit more residential than the others (and correspondingly more elegant), but it's certainly not far from dozens of very pleasant places to eat, drink and otherwise enjoy.

Hi. I can't help with the location (others will chime in, I'm sure) but welcome to the forum!

Bienvenue à bord ! As Truffaut mentionned all the location are good, and they are all in great neighbourhood. If I had to be picky...Personally I would not choose rue Saint-Antoine (a busy street) or rue Béranger (to close to République). So it would be between rue Sévigné and rue Saint-Gilles. I often walked both streets since they are between our apartement and Place des Vosges and both are nice.
But of course there are more consideration than location....let us know if you need more help.

To follow up on Lucky's comments, I'd agree with his assessment of St Antoine. Rue de Sévigné will have better transportation, but I'd choose rue St-Gilles, personally.

Well my heart goes for Sévigné for obvious reason, but not everyone is obsessed with the Marquise....
