I'm trying to help one of my partners find apartment space of an extended family group going to Paris in March. He already has spoken with Vacation in Paris about some of their properties that are close together, but they couldn't get him two that were large enough in the same building. He's also looked at some other web sites but quickly became overwhelmed.
He needs one large enough for two adults and three children, and one large enough for three adults -- a couple, plus himself -- and a child. His budget is flexible and fairly generous although not unlimited (the objective is to achieve a savings as compared to having to get a minimum of three hotel rooms). Does anyone have a suggestion based on personal or annecdotal experience?

The odds of finding units in the same building are not good. Probably, he'll need to settle for being within a few blocks of each other. You might try PerfectlyParis, since nearly all of Gail's apartments are in Montmartre, and therefore, fairly close together.

Becky....check out http://www.parisvacationapartments.com....Alex and Isis have several apartments in the 1st in one building and then a few also in Montmartre. It's worth a shot. They are all very nice, clean and well managed. I have friends in Maine who have used them several times and they just rave about their experience. Good Luck!!

Wow, trechic, what a fabulous site - thanks so much! Very high end and indisputably expensive, but if that doesn't scare them off I am sure they would love it. (I had no idea one could actually stay in a flat overlooking the Palais Royal gardens!)

Wow, Annette - that's a gorgeous place! You're right, it's probably out of their price range, but that's not for me to decide . . .

Gitte, I have already passed these links along. I am amazed that any apartment that large actually exists!

I know that www.parisperfect.com has apartments that are in the same building. Most of theirs are in the 7th and, although pricey, are absolutely gorgeous and well appointed. Last summer 5 of us stayed in the Sancerre and 2 stayed in the Champagne. They were across the street from each other. I spend alot of my "free" time looking at all the various apartments in Paris and your friend is right, it can certainly be overwhelming! It's very nice of you to help out!

Thanks Joy - I will pass this along as well. (This is someone who has done me many big favors over the years - although not with travel planning, LOL - and I'm happy to help out.)

Becky- we rented from www.regentsuites.com in the 7th this summer. Looks like they have buildings with multiple listings. They are located in LA which makes it easy to talk with them. I dealt with Sam there was was very satisfied with them. They even arranged van service for me at CDG at a reasonable price and right there when I got out of baggage claim.
