I have booked this hotel for my last section in Paris and got a very good rate online, 110 a night including breakfast( which I normally don't take , but that is so cheap) . The area looks fine, I know it ok, but anyone who has stayed there feel free to offer opinion on hotel . The hotel responded so nicely to my email and even said "your french is excellant" which is a blatant lie but of course I felt very " puffed up " about that, LOL

Isn't that the hotel Anne stayed in a few months ago? I know hers was right at the Pantheon.

Very good choice, Joan ! We stayed in its sister hotel, hotel du Pantheon, which is just next door to hotel des Grands Hommes, last November . Have a look at my review of hotel du Pantheon, you will see both hotels on the first photo (hotel des Grands Hommes is the white one, on the left) . ourparisforum.com/index.cgi?board=hotels&action=display&thread=1194267931Hotel des Grands Hommes has very good reviews on TA, we only opted for the Pantheon one because we got a much better deal on our dates . We just LOVED the area, beautiful and so quiet compared to the bustle of the Quartier Latin and yet so close to it . Several very good restos nearby too . You can see photos of monuments on the place du Pantheon on my first day trip report too : ourparisforum.com/index.cgi?board=reports&action=display&thread=1194261666&page=1
