Is there any really obvious "Must-Do" thing in Paris that you've never done/seen? I have to admit that, after at least 10 trips to Paris, I've never set foot inside the Louvre. (The Carrousel du Louvre to use the restrooms doesn't count, right?)

OK I will go first! My name is Luc (all together Hi Luc) I have never been inside the Sacré Coeur, actually I find the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur de Montmarthe utterly unequivocally ugly I have never been inside l'Institut de France, each time the timing of the tour was in conflict with something else. I have never been to le parc des Buttes-Chaumonts, but that on my list for the next time. Ok now your turn...

Last sunday I have been to "La défense" for the first time... not for the view or architecture though, but to see a movie on their XXXL size screen...

Hi Luc (and hi again HappyGoin) Well, I'm a relative Paris newbie since I've only been twice, so there are definitely more things that I've missed than seen. But...the Rodin museum is on top of the places I want to see next time. I have been to the Louvre - Happy, you've never experienced the crush of tourists with flashes popping at the ML? ? Whoa! I've also never been up the eiffel tower, and really don't want to go. And Luc (you cowboy you - love your horse JJ ) I have to agree with you somewhat on Sacre Coeur - I was not impressed with the inside, but I do think it's kind of pretty on the outside (in a wedding cake kind of way)...

it was "300" we saw, we had just 1 person seats but the whole thing was set up like an amphitheater, no big head in the middle of the screen!

I've never been up the towers of Notre Dame. I've never seen the stained glass windows of the Ste Chapelle in the sunlight. BUT I have danced in the Ballroom of the Hotel de Ville, thanks Lucky!!!

I've never joined the gargoyles atop Notre-Dame. I've never been on a bateau mouche. I've never had a macaron at La Dury (or is that La Duré, La Duray, Ladury, ....)

LOL! I love the censor - a thingytail. With its help this site could create its own language. I have been to the Parc des Buttes Chaumont and really like it. It is like someone's fantasy island. I havent been to La Defense but I did think it looked great in a menacing way from the Arc de Triomphe and think I will leave it at that. I always meant to go see Napoleon's Tomb but never found time. I never climbed the Eiffel Tower as it looks exhausting, but I did go up once in the elevator
