We are making our first visit to Paris in October. I think that I have all of our plans made except Sunday dinner. We are staying in the 7th and are looking for a nice place to have our last Paris meal. Does anyone have a recommendation? We were thinking about a picnic, but were unsure of what the weather will be or if there are any markets open to get items.
We would appreciate any help or suggestions!

Hi, roundtown - do you have a price range or type of atmosphere in mind?

You could shop the markets on Saturday morning (Saxe Breteuil or Place l'Alma) and have a picnic in the Champs du Mars on Sunday. Both of those markets are in the 7th. However, the weather in October would certainly be a deciding factor as to whether or not a picnic would be possible.
Enjoy!

A point of clarification--when you say "dinner", do you mean noontime or evening? In the South, "Sunday dinner" often means the midday meal.

Atelier Maitre Albert in the 5th is open on Sunday nights. It's very good!

I would like to spend less than 75 euros per person, nothing extremely extravagant as we are doing a Bateaux Parisiens dinner on Friday. I am talking evening dinner. I will look into Atelier Maitre Albert.

Also in the 5th is Le Reminet, which is very good and is also open on Sunday (I'm sorry, I don't know which restos are open Sunday, although you can do a search on several Paris resto sites.)
I mainly wanted to welcome you to our site - since it is your first visit to Paris, you will find lots of expert (and friendly) advice here so ask away!!

I think a picnic for an evening meal in October could be a little dicey. If you're willing to travel away from the 7th, I can recommend Aux Trois Petits Cochons (rue Tiquetonne, 2nd), Au Bourguignon du Marais (rue François Miron, 4th), Le Rouge Gorge (rue Saint-Paul, 4th), Le Pamphlet (rue Debellyme, 3rd), Astier (rue Jean-Paul Timbaud, 10th), Chez Omar (rue de Bretagne, 3rd--excellent couscous and other North African dishes), Le Petit Prince de Paris (rue Lanneau, 5th), Le Bistral (rue Lemercier, 17th), Aristide (rue de Rome, 17th), Le Bastide Odéon (carrefour d'Odéon, 5th)....

Thanks to everyone. Great suggestions! I'll check into them. There are so many amazing things to do in Paris. I'm sure you'll be hearing more from me.

Le Reminet is one of our favorites too. With your budget, there are many choices. Another favorite of ours is Chez Fernand on rue Christine.
Some people poo poo Bistrot de Breteuil but we have always been most happy with their 35 euro menu that includes wine.

We had a lovely Sunday dinner at Pasco on La Tour Mauburg in the 7th. They have a sunday menu special for under 30 euros that includes wine. Reservations a must for sunday. It was packed.
