Gitte - I don't how the food is in that place, but the dishes look very creative and colorful, and I just love those pink tablecloths.

Gitte..for some reason my computer can't get the site...but that Square...as you know I was right there at the Esperance last Feb. and never stumbled upon it!!! It is now circled in red in my little green Paris par arrondissement which certainly cost less than 10 euros in Paris in the edge of the 5th there!!!

My computer cannot either, Geordy .
But have you seen that gem of a hotel that you access through the Etchegorry restaurant's website ? They say that all chambers overlook the private garden, and some have a kitchenette too . It looks really like a great hotel for the Summer .
The restaurant is reputed as a good, very traditional Pays Basque & Béarn cuisine restaurant .

Ooooh, awesome website Gitte! Thanks for that!
I wasn't able to make it work using my usual browser (Netscape). Had to open it thru Internet Explorer, and even then it took me a few tries. If you're still having a problem, you can download Internet Explorer by clicking on the logo that comes up with the error message. Then reopen the internet using Internet Explorer and try the link again.

Hey, GitteK! I am also still DAZZLED and in WONDER about ...how a plane chuck full of people can fly (sure, there is this aerodynamic thing..but still! That thing is heavy..even when it goes fast and the wind cuts faster under the wing than over...)..and what is this with voices (code units?) traveling over wires...not to mention wireless! Does that mean there are all these little words floating in the air and only if you have a cell phone with the RIGHT numbers, can you hear the words/have the units translated (and then respond...in real time)?? Okay...going off on a tangent..but those wonderments you mentioned , Gitte...always truly make me in awe and wonder!
Ooh! I like that Parisillusion site! I must have a snappy computer as I got into that e-site with no problemos ! Thank you for that e-site reference!

Yippee !!! I'm not the only dummy who doesn't understand all that scientific stuff. I'm afraid that one day when I have grandchildren they might ask me some very simple questions that I won't be able to answer.......the kind that I'm actually supposed to answer easily. What then? Do I just say: "Go ask Grandpa."

there's an interesting book I have called "Unexplored Paris" by Rodolphe Trouilleux. I first saw it in a bookshop in th Marais but it was in French. It took me awhile on line to buy it in English.
I also have (by another author) Secret Provence

I just looked up the book (at Amazon.com) that Cigale recommended in her post and viola! Looks like the book cover (only in English) that you posted, GitteK! Looks like a match! It does look interesting! add: I just looked up its cost/ etc..and sigh..there is only one French copy available that is expensive...so still the search for the English version continues! I wonder where you found it , Cigale?
