We arrive in Paris on December 19 and leave on the 3rd of january. Wondered about restaurants open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and also New Year's Eve and Day. The only list I could find was on Paris by Mouth and that was for last year. We are staying in the 6th this trip.
Thanks.

Holger, I bet the closures will be pretty much the same as last year. Paris by Mouth will probably be coming out with an updated list for this year as well closer to that time (they also post about August closures and updated that list this past July). I'd be surprised that any of the restaurants that were closed last year would decide to stay open this Christmas--as you know, with the French tradition is pretty deep and change doesn't happen quickly!

That is sort of what I assumed. However, I could not find some restaurants on either their open or closed listings. In particular Josephine, Chez Dumonet. I can try contacting them from here at the start of September after the August break. But if any OPFers will be there in September, maybe one might call them from Paris.
Thanks.

You might try reading restaurant reviews on TA and other places to see if there is mention of people having dined there on these holidays in the past. I did that with a few places I wanted to revisit in August, and was able to determine that they probably would be open. I'm sure people would be much more likely to specifically mention Christmas or New Year's Eve dinner in a review.
