I absolutely agree. And have gotten to the point where I only open things from those I know. Realize I may be missing posts covered by these%^*+ jerks.
However, when I try to report to moderators I now get error messages. Don't know what else to do. I am not techy enough to know how to block this but it seems to have started when we lost the domain name and went to proboards.

Hi all -- this has always been posted by proboards -- that part has never changed.
Going from the OPF address to the proboards address was because Doug didn't renew the domain name (the "post office box" that I mentioned in another post)
The spammers are winning because neither Doug nor phread are monitoring the board any more (which is okay -- life changes for all of us!)....new members are allowed to start posting right away, so the spammers have no barriers to spreading all their rubbish.
All that has to happen is to nominate someone else as an administrator (not me...I simply don't have the time) who can change the setting so that new posters have to be approved.

Thanks. I don't have the time as I am still working full time plus. But maybe we can see if one or two would be willing or able. Luc also seems uninvolved and Gitte is rarely involved here.

Barbara -so you are branching out to the 6th. You will be close to Chez Dumonet for your foies gras.
I have noticed these postings and wondered what is happening. Thank you, Janet for volunteering.

That would be great. But how do we set this up? The best way would be to contact Doug or Phread or Luc off list, if anybody has an email address. PM through TA will eventually get to Phread, I see she's been posting lately. But one of them has to set up a new administrator before anything can change.

Chez Dumonet also for Duck Confit, souffles , etc.
As to this, you can likely reach Doug through his apartment rental site which can be found at the bottom of any postings.
I am not a fan of either Facebook or TA but will very occasionally browse the later for places to stay when going somewhere totally unknown.
May not be on from Canada as while taking lap top, not sure of connections.

I would be happy to help in any way, too. Let's see if we hear from Luc (he's the admin. that seems to be here most often).

Well, that's disappointing to hear.
I would have thought they would jump at the chance to have some help.

Until Doug return from holidays I have stop all new accounts creation in order to eliminate the spam invasion. We will be talking about our options later this month once he is back in town.
Happy chatting about Paris,
Luc.

Thank you, Luc! That should help the immediate problem until something else is decided.
