Annette, I seem to recall Darryl and I share a birthday so a very happy birthday to him next week! You have a great memory, Rachel! I'll share the message. Enjoy your Thursday, too

I was guessing they might start at around 500 Euros considering the craftsmanship involved. When I wanted to buy an iconic Gucci handbag a few years ago I checked how much it cost (yes, Mossie, I've heard that saying too!) and then decided what I would give up to put those savings towards the bag. It was a good choice but I can't see myself getting enough use out of a parasol to justify spending that much. It's fun looking at the website though.

Your duck dish at Relais just reminded me that I had planned on having magret de canard at least once during my trip, but I failed to do so. Hmmm.....

Nice description Mez..that "flat white" sounds like it would hit the spot right on! I've no problem with Starbucks..basically good coffee but over priced, pretentious names..and many customers also ..all that decaf half skim, half , 2% mocha cappucino with a shot of some flavor...and way too many of them here..let alone in Paris! I don't seek to ebb USA companies global expansions or French people's enjoyment of American products(I'm quite happy to have French products and stores here! ..but all things in moderation!
