Wow! Your photographs and all the information you provide about the villages and towns you visit continue to amaze me. It's hard to believe all these beautiful places are so near to Paris. Now all I need to do is have the confidence to get on a bike for the first time in 40 years and maybe I can visit some of the wonderful places you show us!

Not sure about the cycling lessons! I'm terrified of the traffic! Looking forward to next week too.

redqueen - Thanks for the compliments. You don't need to worry about traffic in the places I go biking. denise - Yup. I took the train from Paris like I usually do and headed for the unknown. Hope you're ready for some riding! mossie - Thanks once again for reading.

Your photos are the epitome of serenity. Ah! How relaxing it is to have breakfast while looking at the pristine countryside and the quaint villages ! However, just know that I'm partial to the close-up pic of the horse.......I only wish I could read his mind 'cause he definitely has something he'd like to share. Merci for your lovely TR.

Thanks Shoesy. I must admit it was an extremely serene and beautiful ride I took this day. Whenever I see those horses in the country they always come over and say hello to me. This one nibbled my shirt and drooled on me.

Thanks for another fabulous travelogue.
How long was this trip and how many kms did you cycle? In addition to the scenery I am in awe of your stamina.
I too like the horse photo. :-)

Thanks mez. I'm estimating I did about 40km so it wasn't that long a journey compared to some rides I've done. It certainly was peaceful and pretty and I learned a lot about the area after the ride while doing research for my report. I'll be going back to that area several more times as I learned about a lot of great stuff to see nearby and I know the scenery is beautiful as well. I'm sure I'll find more horseys.

I was about to say "only 40kms?" but realised it would come out the wrong way - lol. I did not realise how close together some of those places were. Horsey...and in fact any other animal photos are always appreciated. ;D
