;D Hi guys! I'm doing my "I've just booked a trip to Paris" happy dance. Well, the June trip that I thought we'd be taking, is no longer relevant , ...........but instead of that, my husband and I will be in Paris April 26 - May 1st. ;D ;D ;D It'll be short and sweet ( and I mean that literally because I plan to stuff myself with macarons, B. ice-cream and almond croissants. ) As an added bonus, our trip overlaps with a trip my sister and her hubby are taking so we plan to spend quality time together. How fun is that? ;D I have booked my favorite hotel, and my sister will be staying there too.

What Annette is referring to the fact that I had revealed my plans to her in a Facebook chat, expressing my concern about breakfast (perhaps my favorite meal 'cause I'm such an early riser) since our little boulangerie (around the corner from the hotel) is not open on Sunday or Monday. To make matters worse, the following day (our last day ) is May 1st, and I wouldn't be surprised if the boulangerie is closed on that day too. In any case, there's a good chance that on Sunday, Aril 29th, we will take a trip to Vaux Le Vicomte. (depends on the weather) If we do, it might be a good idea to have breakfast at the bar in Le Train Bleu since it would give me the chance to finally get a glimpse of that beautiful restaurant. On Sunday, they open for breakfast at 9:00, and we can have our train tickets bought before that time. (I wonder how long it'll take us to figure out where to purchase the tickets once we arrive Gare de Lyon. ) BTW, does anyone know what they serve for breakfast? (I don't mean brunch, which is served starting from 11:30) As for the other days, I'm still not sure where we will have breakfast, but it'll be fun trying to weigh our options.

Yeah! The good thing about your date change is that you get to Paris sooner.
How nice to be able to share it with your family.

Great news Shoesy! In your honor, and your PD discourse, I treated myself to a large coffee and almond croissant from Hale and Hearty this morning! Not like Paris...but not bad... It was a treat because I was fasting since 6:30PM yesterday for blood test this AM...and then they kept me waiting nearly an hour.....

Thank you for joining in on my excitement, everyone. I still can't believe that I'll be seeing Paris again in a matter of weeks. This will be my second spring trip, though it was hard to call the beginning of May 2010 "spring" while I was bundled up in my warmest winter attire. However, one thing that experience taught me was that boots can be the most comfortable footwear to wear in Paris. Considering the limitations of our schedule, any GTG that we might participate in would probably have to be on Friday, April 27th. Mossie, I'm sure my husband will find you as delightful as we do on the forum.

YAY!!!! I'm really happy for you...but just a bit sorry that we will miss one another by a week or so! Yes, that May was chilly. This winter has been so strange. We've had no snow and no real cold weather to speak of, and we just missed the frigid temps in Paris in Jan. You never know...you just have to take many different kinds of shoes ;D
