Thanks for your trip reports, you show a different slant on London. I was up there yesterday to a reunion for mad fools like me who flew in the Mosquito aircraft, and had a great time reminiscing and generally boasting. I don't envy you those flights to get home, holding on the taxiway, waiting take off clearance, is just too tedious to contemplate. Then to arrive to a power failure is just not on, so commiserations all round.

Never fun when the trip has a bumpy ending! Glad you kept your olives....what is special about them? Is the ocean crossing looking better to your hubby now?

:)Great reports. Enjoyed reading them ....yes I was THERE in Trafalgar square on the political demonstration on March 26th!
Glad it did not disrupt your day and you did not get caught up in any silly violence!
Not long now before I am back for the Royal wedding and PARIS!

Enjoyed your reports - I look forward to being in London soon and sorry I won't have time to go to some of the restaurants you mentioned.
Too bad you came home to no electric but glad to know the outage didn't last too long.

His brother Roy was a WWII pilot and they called him wrong way!! He missed Long Island on a landing!! That's nothing I was once navigating from Malta to the South of France and briefed to turn at the SW corner of Sardinia. Never saw the d**n island, the natives must have towed it away somewhere ;D ;D

Mossie. I didn't realize that your name came from the Mosquito. Surely you weren't old enough to fly them in action. My ex manager flew them during the war and complained about the massive amount of torque when he took but as he and you both survived it couldn't have been too bad. I remember seeing three of them at East Fortune when they were filming 633 squadron. Happy memories.

I really enjoyed your report. I've never been to London, so I paid close attention. Maybe I can add it to my next trip to Paris ;D
