Aloha from Kaua'i!
We are staying for the 2nd time in the 12th eme (next month) and loved it last year - however we are pretty much the opposite of "foodies" and so generally stay away from fine dining (I know, in Paris!) and enjoy a hearty lunch at a cafe or brasserie during the day - interesting there are so many good places just steps away from our flat though (rue de Lyon)....might take notes - you never know! LOL

Janet, you'll be happy to know that none of the places mentioned in this whole thread are considered "foodie" type places. Someone might come along and disagree with me, but for the most part, I think they're all small and full of locals. I think it's because most of us have been to Paris enough times to more-or-less get over needing to eat at tourist joints. Most of us now enjoy more "regular" food, I think.
Oh, and they shouldn't bust your food budget either. They're far enough out of the center of the city, that they really just serve good food at fair prices. Enjoy!
