Hi all ! Want to experiment something very special in Paris ? Try Nomiya, a temporary restaurant located on the roof of the Palais de Tokyo, with the most incredible view on the ET.
I had dinner there and it was truly magic, it seats only twelve people, menu changes everyday. The food was very good (not impressive, but truly good and creative) and the atmosphre is very warm. the Chef cooks in front of you and the waiter is incredible. he is a host more than a waiter, incredibly nice and very enthousiastic about the project he is part of (an architecture/cuisine challenge). Reservations open everyday at 10 am french time on their website for one month later (if you reserve on february 10th, you get seats for march 10th). It is quite a challenge to get seats as most nights are reserved for professional parties, but worth trying to. I spent three weeks in front of my computer at 10 am to finally be able to get seats for a month later ! The restaurant will definitely close on july 2010.
This is what their website (http://www.art-home-electrolux.com/en/) says :
"Moments are being created that will glow in the memory. It’s called Art Home. A truly remarkable dining experience brought to life by Electrolux and Palais de Tokyo. An opportunity to witness culinary and architectural creativity at its most impressive – all framed by the magical skyline of Paris. Renowned chef Giles Stassart and his team will bring to life exceptional cuisine in Nomiya; an architectural space from the imagination of artist Laurent Grasso. To say it’s exclusive is something of an understatement – Nomiya seats only twelve people. But those fortunate twelve will have experienced something truly memorable. "
