Last year's event was held on Oct 4th but I haven't been able to find a date for 2009 despite lots of googling.
Is it always on the first Sat in Oct, or does it change?

Oh Gitte, I hope they have the same celebration next year, I'm pretty sure we will try Paris in the fall next year, probably from September 24 (so Den can celebrate his birthday in Paris on the 29th) to October 10. We are excited about visiting during a different season (can you tell how bad the PPD is when I'm planning our next trip, 15 months away, barely a week after we got back!)

Well, at least you have a tentative date for your next trip.

Oh, that would be very cool!!! Since Den has now survived 2 GTGs (survived ~ he loved our meetings with Luc and Annette), I'm sure he would be up for a few more!

I'm planning our trip for October...we just missed this last year. I'd love to go then...so, Gitte, jo, Happy...Darcy and Jody? Who else will be in Paris in early mid-October? I'm working with FF miles so it might be hard to get there in time, but I'd love to have a GTG around the Montmarte wine harvest!

Sister, sadly, I am talking about Sept/Oct 2010 since we just got back from Paris last week! But if you're there in 2010, it's a date!

Sis, I hope it works out! I wanted 1 award ticket and one I'd pay for , but there were no award tickets available for our dates. BUT, on the dates I wanted they had part cash/part miles tickets. So I bought 2 tickets for$1400.00 then used miles to get a $700.00 credit, basically I got an award ticket! If your airline has that option, you might get the dates you want

Yes, Gitte and I are trying to coordinate our 2010 trips. We hope to be there in late September to about October 13th.That is for Paris. Will try to get to Normandy and Brittany first. So maybe we can have a great GTG while at the wine harvest and Nuit Blanche, etc. Jo, it would be fun to meet you and Den as well as anyone else there at same time.

Megan, your display of trips during the 2nd half-year of 2009 is bordering indecency ;D (what's this new November trip BTW ?) . I live in France and I feel happy if I can manage three trips to Paris in a YEAR ! But I'm in for Oct 2010 too

But I'm in for Oct 2010 too Well in November I will only be there for a day as I catch the train late at night to your favourite place Marseille to watch the All Blacks play France - perhaps I could persuade you and Mr A to join me for a bit of international rivalry

Count me in too for October 2010!! This is crazy!! - good, but crazy - I haven't even been on the Sept. 09 trip yet and already planning on May and Oct. 2010!! What a fun problem to have!!
Megan, I was going to ask you what happened to April/May 2010 but I see that Gitte already did that - don't forget to put that one on your list also! ;D

I'm still not sure when we're going to be in Paris in Oct 09...I have to coordinate both my work schedule and FF miles. And we'll only be there for 4 days, as it is my husband's wish to do a beer tour of Belgium this year.
And, as a reward for being SUCH a great wife, I am going to Paris with Happy (I hope)...and my MOM Vel luckymama Reid this xmas! WOOHOO!!! We just convinced her that life is short and you gotta grab Paris whenever you can.
If I continue to lead this charmed and blessed life it looks like Oct 2010 could be a possibility for me too. We're going to have to rent out a bistro!! ;D
