Despite what the NYT said, we truly enjoyed the show. I do think that Picasso can be a bit much (I agree with the view that he is egotistical), but one can not ignore his contribution to art history, and the organizers of this show did a bang up job (imho) in gathering works and assembling them in a way that the viewer really gets a one of a kind perspective on art and Picasso's process, if that makes sense. And being a huge El Greco fan I delighted in seeing some works by that master...all in all I was SO glad that we got up early on our last day to catch this show...I do see why it's so popular and I don't think it's one of those blockbuster shows that's all flash and no substance. GO!

I shouldn't have read this. Now I'm going to have to see if budget will allow a couple of days in January. I 'd love to see this exhibition..

Ellen - All you have to do is paint and sell your masterpiece and voila!.........you'll be able to afford as many trips as your little heart desires.
