mntgrl, I have to say, if you can handle a bear you can certainly handle staying in an apartment in Paris!! ;D And welcome back! I'm going to Paris in October with my husband...but I'll be back in June of 2011 when I take my daughter for her graduation (of course I'll still try to fit a trip in between) So, please keep me posted on your graduation trip!

mtngrl - CONGRATULATIONS !! That apt. is my favorite option with Vacation in Paris (not that I have ever rented from them - but a lot of others have). I find the photo of the tall windows with the brown shutters to be extremely appealing (and the other rooms too !). And did you notice that you can bring your own chambermaid and have her camp on top of the kitchen. How convenient !! Hey, choo choo....... there's a possibility for you, being such a lazy bum of a housewife ;D ;D !! And I think that shoesy needs not be afraid of a flood in Paris - unless she chooses to stay in a tent at the quais of La Seine with the SDF's.

A bear ? I take it you're referring to the scarey kind that's in "Little Red Riding Hood", right? Yikes! So glad you got the apt., mtngrl !

Congratulations, mntgrl! Now you can live like a native. Most of my trips to Paris is by myself and I usually stay at a friend's in the 6th near the Luxembourg (I've been very spoiled). When either my daughter or husband go with me, we stayed in hotels for a stay of 10 days to two weeks.
Becky, so you like shopping at Huilerie Blanc. I buy my huile de noisette from there. That is my favorite!

Thanks you all:) Yes, I am just bursting with joy right now! And yes, a real bear. We backpack and never see one...go to a busy campground and run into one...figures, lol!
