When I arrive in Paris, can I buy Mobilis cards in advance, or can they only be bought on the day they are valid?
My trip dates are 20 - 26 Nov (Thurs-Wed) and disappointingly, my Navigo Découverte card will be useless on this trip.
While carnets, will prob be the cheapest, I prefer having just the one pass to use, which is why I'm also investigatin this option.
Thanks, Mez.

I want to say that they become active once you make the purchase, so you'll have to purchase one on a daily basis.

LOL - and someone on TA just advised me it was possible to but them in advance.
I think I'll just stick with carnets and stop making an issue of such a petty thing, ;D

I think that you can buy them in advance, but you must write your name and the date you plan on using them, as they are only good for one day. They used to cost €5.60, as opposed to a carnet of 10 tickets for €11.10, or a single ticket for €1.50. Recently the single tickets (other than those bought on the bus) when used on the bus are good for unlimited transfers for up to 1½ hours, which is a big improvement.
