I had to share this.... I've booked airport transfers with the company that Gracejoan recommended in a previous post, inter-shuttle.com. They were very quick to get back to me with the confirmation, and have even sent me reconfirmation emails twice. This morning my phone rang at 5:30 AM. The caller ID said "out of area", which always seems to be telemarketers. I picked up the phone ready to rip into whatever company was trying to sell me something at that hour of the morning. Instead I was rather amused to hear that it was the shuttle company, calling from Paris, to confirm my reservation for next week! Very early, but rather endearing! I have a feeling this is a company that may actually be there to pick us up at the airport!

The most I've ever gotten is a confirming e-mail - I think you can stop worrying about tranport from CDG and go on to other parts of your planning!

I would normally not consider a private "shuttle", because taxis are so easy to get at the airport, but the rates of this company are really very reasonable: only 55 euros from CDG-Paris. This is almost competitive with taxis (which is about 45-48 euros to Montmartre, and even more to the left bank). Thanks, gracejoan, for this info ! An exalt comes your way !

I'm carrying the contact info with me as a back-up just in case the one I've booked doesn't work out. A bit like carrying an umbrella to ensure that it won't rain ;-)

Because I am a repeat customer, I am only being charged 50 euros for my Sept/Oct trip.
No phone calls to make..just walk out the exit door and they are there to take your luggage to a car parked very conveniently. They do monitor travel delays. Also, very prompt for my early morning departure..
Nice people....

Thanks for the tip on the shuttle, gracejoan. It's always nice to know the name of a reliable shuttle.

Yes, thanks Gracejoan, I have booked them, the price was good. Normallly I am a RER person, but this time with my 12 yr old I have decided to just make everything as easy as possible.
I shall feel very "la di da", seeing someone waiting for us with my name on a card ready to whisk us away in a private car! , LOL .

We used Shuttle Inter in May (I think the recommendation may have been from GraceJoan on TA) and were very happy with the service. We were through customs VERY fast and thought we might have to wait for the driver a bit, but he was there with our name on the sign, knew exactly where we were going and was polite, efficient and got us to our apartment in record time. Same thing on the way back, we stayed at a hotel for our last night, and the driver was there exactly at 8am to pick us up. We plan to use them again every time we go to Paris.

I'm glad to see this as we were just reviewing our options for October. Silly question - is the 55E per person?
Thanks!

The fare is for your party, not per person.

Jo when you make your next reservation and tell them that you are a repeat customer you will only be charged 50euros.
Tammij: The website gives you all the information on prices...
I have them reserved for my pickup on Sept. 11th and my departure on Oct. 10th...
IMO it is the only way to do it.............

Thanks! I looked at the website but couldn't tell if it was per person or per party. I guess I'm used to the shuttles in the US where it is per person - at least here in NC it is.
That is such a deal - I'm booking!

Hi, just piping in, I did in fact use this shuttle company this past July to go from CDG to our hotel in Paris. It was great and I would use it again,, loved just exting and having to look for my name . We were whisked away in moments.

I have just been checking the transfer rates with Shuttle Inter, the airport ones are OK, and cheaper than the company I used last time. I also asked for their rates for transfers to Parc Asterix and they told me it's usually 120 Euros one way but they would offer me a discount fare of 90 Euros one-way or 180 both ways. This is very reasonable, and much less than the other company, I'm only wondering why they're giving me such a hefty discount. Is it too good to be true? Gracejoan, have you used them for transfers other than the airport?

I have only used them to/from airport. I don't know why there would be any difference in their reliability to other destinations.

FYI
I used someone recommended by the owners of the apartment I am renting. We are a party of 7 and he charged 120 euros to schlepp all of us and luggage from the airport to the apartment. I also had him pick us up at Disney at midnight to take us back. It was the same price. I know it is expensive, but per person it isn't terrible. He is extremly reliable. If anyone need the number, please let me know. I am sure it is not so costly if he doen't use the mini van.

Luvparis - I don't think that's an unreasonable price for a van, for that people and all their gear, and especially given what it would cost for two taxis (minimum). It's worth it not to stress (I think) and have everyone arrive at the same place and same time, etc.
