I'm planning on taking the Air France coach from CDG to Gare Montparnasse next month (already!!!). The website says that you can buy tickets from the driver. Does anyone know if the driver accepts credit cards?? And for those who have taken this bus, how was it?
TIA!

that is a good question about the credit cards. I just set aside enough cash to cover it. this is probably more info than you were looking for but I just did a copy/paste on a reply from months ago. ----------------------- here's some links to Air France Shuttle/Bus and site for research. you may want to try www.mappy.com to determine how far you would have to walk from Air France shuttle stop and/or metro stop. mappy is pretty accurate you just have to "play" with it a little to get results if you are not familiar with application. Air France Shuttle info---- some other useful information on transporation from CDG france.co.kr/eng/htm/practical_information/en-AERFI-cdg_transports.htm#navette" target="_blank">http://www.airfrance.co.kr/eng/htm/pract....rts.htm#navette Click Services for other info (i.e. you don't have to fly Air France to use) if this does not take you to the English version then use cars-airfrance link and click on English in other languages on left. france.com/double6/passage3.nsf/" target="_blank">http://www.airfrance.com/double6/passage3.nsf/(LookupPublishedWeb)/en-OUTCO-CarsAF?OpenDocument france.com/" target="_blank">http://www.cars-airfrance.com/ chose lines then route 2 (this is one that stop north of Arc) also gives cost. (after using Mappy.com you may need the other stop/line) Click Services for other info (i.e. you don't have to fly Air France to use) ------- another good research tool for RER and metro is: www.amadeus.net/home/new/subwaymaps/en/paris.htmI like this because the colors of lines are distinct and makes it easier to read and route. I used to map my route from Gare de Nord to avoid Chalet des Halles. Used regular transportation map after I arrived.

I don't know about the credit cards either...since the fare..even a round trip ..is not that much I never thought about it.
But I have used them often...comfortable and efficient. I generally use them if I am staying close to one of their destinations...Montparnasse or Etoile.

I agree exactly with geordy.
I usually base my transportation to/from CDG on where I'm staying. If you're staying near one of the drop-offs for the AF bus, it makes perfect sense. If I'm staying near an RER station, I take the RER. I'll take a cab if the apt is near no drop-off locations for any of the public transport options. And I won't take any form of transportation that requires any switching to secondary transportation. I'm tired at this point and I don't want to be schlepping my luggage around Paris.
I take whatever mode takes me within easy walking distance of my apartment or I take a cab.

Thanks, I guess I will make sure I have it in cash. Our apartment is a 10 minute RER ride from Montparnasse, so it should be easy enough to take
