There is always the racing at Longchamps, Prix de L'arc de Triomphe on the first Sunday in October. This year it's the 5th. We go every year, it's a good fun day out.You could check out my thread. Our day out at the Prix de L'arc de Triomphe

I think it is also Paris Fashion week for the pret a porter (sp?)

I've just remembered that last year they had "le nuit blanc," museums stay open all night and there are cultural events all night. We were too tired to take advantage but the apartment owner seemed very excited about it. I think it's an annual event.
