NEW UPDATE on cultural plans for Saturday night 13 Sept.

I emailed them to get a quote and some more infomation. They have 21 seats left for this night, so perhaps we ought to make up our minds quite soon.

The show takes place at Club Le Prestige, 24 Rue Tilsitt, just off Place Charles de Gaulle-Étoile (Arc de Triomphe) - meaning that it is in a perfectly safe and bourgeois quartier, so we won't even have to make up stories to tell the old man later on, when we come home......

Prices are
35 € for show+ 1 drink
65 € for show + 3 course dinner + 1 bottle of wine per 3 persons
(the above link only offers "dîner spectacle", but in the quote they sent me, we can choose not to buy dinner)

Also included is
"Bar dégustation" where samples of Absolut vodkas are for free, between 19:30 and 20:00

10 minute session, 1 person per table only, with the fortuneteller Magdalena, who will predict your future (!)
OR
10 minutes session, 1 person per table only, of massage ("tonique" or "relaxant") with the masseuse Lostris

So, ladies - this is it ! Your once in a lifetime chance to see a man throw his clothes on the floor and you are not the one who have to pick them up and put them in the laundry basket...... ;D

However, you know that I am in, and Roniece PMed me some days ago that she is too ;D .

As for not having to make up stories for the husband who is stuck at home to look after the kids while I enjoy the "Vie Parisienne", well ...

Location is fine indeed, much better indeed than the one outside Paris that you mentionned earlier .

I don't expect dinner to be very good at such places, but then it may be indeed much more convenient to have dinner there rather to try and look for a decent place to dine before or after the show . It is difficult to say since I guess that the time schedules for the show must be on the link that I cannot open .

I don't care for vodka, fortuneteller or massage, you can have it all ;D .

For the other girls (or any other interested parties.....): if you send me your mailadress, I can send the brochure to you also. [glow=yellow,3,300]NB![/glow]I have copied the pdf-file it into a Word-document, so now it should be viewable.

And I agree with anne266 that dinners at such "dîner-spectacle" events are probably not worth the extra 30 €. Entrance at the club is at 19:30, one hour before the show starts. I would just grab a hotdog on the way.

Remember we have been trampling grapes all afternoon out in the 11. arr. and have probably stuffed ourselves with all sorts of Auvergne delicacies ! Also we have to leave room for the GTG lunch next day with Monsieur Laidback !

BTW, some of you are having problems with opening the pdf-file showing the brochure. My computer demanded that I uploaded the latest AdobeReader version - after that there was no problem. Perhaps your AdobeReader needs "refreshing" ?
