Thanks, everybody, for your kind birthday wishes. We had somewhat laidback approach here. We'd had family visitors staying with us for a week and they left the morning of my birthday, so that was a bit of a celebration in itself  Yesterday (the birthday), we just sort of meandered around doing nothing--which is a rarity for us--and then went to a Brazilian churascarria (sp?) for dinner. I performed a (very) short opera this morning, and while I was doing that, Gary made my birthday cake. Tonight, he's cooking his special chicken for dinner. It's one of my favorites! So, again, thanks to everybody not only for your birthday wishes to me, but for the wonderful welcoming environment you've all been a part of creating. This site has exceeded by wildest dreams and each of you has played a very special part in that! |
